Sustainability
Our commitment to sustainability
At Zendaya Resort, sustainability is a priority in all our operations. That’s why we have implemented initiatives that positively impact the environment and promote a greener future for everyone. The following actions reflect our commitment to the environment, demonstrating that it is possible to offer luxury and comfort while caring for our planet.
SOLAR POWER SUPPLY
Our facilities include 600 photovoltaic panels that generate around 50,000 kWh per month, reducing our carbon footprint by more than 90 tons of CO₂ that would have otherwise been released into the atmosphere.
BIOMASS WATER HEATING
The water heating system for baths and pools uses biomass from pine pellets, avoiding the consumption of 40,000 liters of LPG annually. Biomass is currently considered one of the most sustainable options for water heating, as the CO₂ released during combustion is in very low quantities, with most of it being filtered out, similar to a water filtration system. The remaining CO₂ is reabsorbed by pine production forests, maintaining environmental balance.
SUSTAINABLE WATER TREATMENT
Our hotel units also feature a gray water reuse system, redirecting treated water to irrigate our gardens and golf course. This practice reduces water consumption and maintains our green spaces in a sustainable and efficient way.
ENERGY EFFICIENT AIR CONDITIONIG
When it comes to air conditioning, we use the VRF system, which is considered the most advanced technology today. Its refrigerant gas circulation system allows for better efficiency and reduces energy consumption by up to 70%.
RECYCLING & COMPOSTING
In addition, we carefully manage all waste produced at the hotel, separating it by category to ensure proper disposal and recycling. All organic waste from our kitchen is sent to a composting system, producing organic compost that is used to fertilize our gardens and the hotel’s vegetable garden.
